Projects
This is a list of some of my projects.

I am currently working at Ubisoft Entertainment as a Gameplay Programmer Intern.

ZooXXI - Worked with Emotique, an interactive media company, on re-imagining zoos for the 21st century. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Media Technologies Department at La Salle University, Barcelona.

Depero Futuristi - This project re-imagined Balli Plastici, the ‘plastic dance’ created by Italian Futurist Fortunato Depero in 1918. Our goal was to digitize Depero’s puppets and develop a toolkit that anyone could use to create their own Futurist-inspired ballets. I worked on this project as a Programmer and Designer.

Chautauqua Interactive - The goal of this project is to explore new ways in which live performance can incorporate technology to evolve into a more interactive medium. The main focus is on bringing the interactivity to present day theatre. We built a 360 degree theatre setup with revolving chairs hooked up with directional sensors in the center of the setup. During the performance, data would be collected from the audience's chairs and the order of the play is determined by that data. The direction in which the chair faces, alters the volume level of speakers in the theatre. Rashomon was adopted by us and performed at the Rauh Theatre on 4th and 5th of May 2009.

Balloon Man:
This is a game our team made for the Global Game Jam 2009 organized by the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). Flash and Action Script 3.0 was used.

Intellectual Property Database: This project was designed and developed for the Intellectual Property Cell (IP Cell) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore). The goal of this project was to manage all the IP and Patent data of the Institute. The application can collect and store the data in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database. Querying the database for the various types of data required is also a feature of the application.

Building Virtual Worlds:
       - Tweety and Sylvester: Used Head Mounted Display (HMD) and 6 degrees of freedom wired trackers to create a simple chase sequence involving these popular characters where the guest plays the role of Speedy Gonsalvez.

       - Saviors of Avadon: Designed and developed a multiplayer game for the Jam O Drum platform. The guest could choose one of the four characters and kill monsters/other players.

       - Alley Cat 3D: This game was developed using Audience Interaction as the platform where a video camera tracked changes in the audience's movement. The audience collectively controls the cat and they have to dodge the objects thrown at them.

       - Ali Baba in Lego Land: Used the PlayMotion! shadow tracking system to narrate an interactive story.

       - Splitt: Developed a dual screen experience showing the mind of a schizophrenic person which involved two people partcipating in the experience using two HMDs.

Snaking:  Participated in Game Jam, a contenst organized by Sim Ops Studios Inc. Designed and developed a game in 24 hours.

Eagle Eye "Real Time Human Motion Detection" : This product was developed as part of the final semester project. Eagle Eye is a fully automated system which can detect motion in front of a webcam and give out a signal when a human motion is actually found. Digital Image Processing has been applied to identify the human pattern in the image. The algorithm to segment the human part of the image and thus remove unwanted noise has been totally developed as part of the project. The method to identifying human is innovative and unique and uses pattern matching algorithms which was also developed as part of the project.

Colors: This project involved designing a Microsoft Paint like application. It was a 2D Graphics Editor and was developed in C for Windows. This editor was capable of supporting basic functions such as drawing custom shapes, filling, pattens, cursor movement, load, save, creation and scaling of geometrical shapes. The advanced features that were incorporated were the Transformations of objects and clipping.

Alphasimple: A simple Text Editor developed using C++. This project involved the design and implementation of a text editor using the GNU/LINUX Operating system. This fully functional, terminal based screen editor was developed to support common functions such as cursor movement, load, save, cut, copy, delete word/sentence etc., for file editing.
